Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee various projects within our railroad fueling maintenance organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management methodologies and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring that all objectives are met on time and within budget. As a Project Manager, you will be instrumental in driving project success through effective planning, execution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Duties
•Lead project planning sessions to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
•In charge of scheduling monthly fueling maintenance and repairs
•Creating scopes, and delivering quotes for repairs needed.
•Daily walk through and checking in with BNSF Foremen for extended repairs.
•Reading blueprints, construction prints, electrical plans..
•Must have pride and value in performance.
•Coordinate resources and manage project timelines to ensure successful completion of projects Repairs.
•Implement lean methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste throughout the project lifecycle.
•Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and develop solutions for continuous improvement.
•Monitor project progress and performance using tools such as Jira and VersionOne.
•Manage change effectively by communicating updates and adjustments to stakeholders.
•Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical requirements are met.
•Utilize Salesforce for tracking project-related activities and customer interactions.
•Facilitate Kaizen events to promote ongoing process improvements within the team.
Skills
•Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation and development.
•Strong understanding of project engineering principles and practices.
•Proficiency in cost control measures to maintain budgetary constraints.
•Experience with change management processes to adapt to evolving project needs.
•Familiarity with agile project management tools
•Knowledge of lean principles, including Kaizen, to enhance operational efficiency.
•Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement at all levels.
•Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.
