Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with proficiency in construction management software. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
•
Analyze blueprints and project specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
•
Utilize construction management software such as HeavyBid, and Insite to streamline the estimating process.
•
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
•
Develop detailed project schedules and timelines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
•
Conduct site visits to gather necessary data for accurate estimates.
•
Maintain organized records of all estimates, proposals, and related documentation.
•
Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to identify potential budget overruns or savings opportunities.
•
Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members regarding project details and expectations.
Requirements
•
Proven experience in construction estimating or related field.
•
Proficiency in construction management software (HeavyBid, Insite) is highly desirable.
•
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
•
Excellent understanding of construction management principles and practices.
•
Familiarity with project scheduling techniques and tools.
•
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
•
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
•
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
