Bridge Brothers is seeking a Construction Project Manager with a structural or civil engineering background to lead the successful execution of bridge construction projects across multiple job sites. This role will focus on field coordination, civil and structural oversight, and managing day-to-day construction activities while ensuring alignment with engineering drawings, safety protocols, and project schedules.
The ideal candidate has hands-on civil/structural construction experience, can confidently interpret engineering documents, and excels at leading and mentoring teams. This is a boots-on-the-ground role requiring some travel, leadership presence, and strong communication skills—including the ability to work directly and collaboratively with field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and clients.
- Lead on-site activities related to bridge construction, including foundations, concrete, grading, and structural steel installation.
- Interpret and implement engineering drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and logistics teams to ensure readiness prior to mobilization.
- Monitor progress against milestones; adjust plans to maintain schedules.
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company protocols.
- Troubleshoot field issues and implement timely solutions.
- Represent the company in interactions with subcontractors, inspectors, and clients.
- Lead job site meetings; report progress, challenges, and updates to internal PMs and stakeholders.
- Address conflicts, scope issues, or delays through direct, solution-focused conversations.
- Provide consistent site updates, including reports, photos, and documentation.
- Coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to align with project timelines.
- Track site activities, manpower, and material usage; maintain accurate daily logs.
- Submit field documentation including RFIs, redlines, and inspection reports.
- Support close-out activities including punch lists, as-built drawings, and client walkthroughs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- 5+ years of construction experience, ideally on civil or structural projects.- Proven leadership with ability to manage crews and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of civil work, foundations, grading, concrete, and structural steel.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans, and technical drawings.
- Skilled in clear, direct, and respectful communication across diverse teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel to job sites (primarily across the Southeast).
- Capable of training, mentoring, and setting professional examples for junior team members.
- Proficiency in construction documentation tools (e.g., Procore, Excel, mobile apps).
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time (occasional evenings or weekends as needed).
- Employment Type: Exempt, Salaried.
- Location: Based in Pickens, SC with travel to active job sites.
