Job Description Summary:
Salary: $84,219.20 - $126,318.40 annually
The Project Manager supports the Communications team by coordinating and managing projects and project requests from across TRWD departments while facilitating some external communications initiatives. This role serves as the primary liaison between the Communications team and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective project intake, resource allocation, and delivery of assets.
Job Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Internal Request Management:
•Process and review incoming project requests submitted via intake form
•Collaborate with internal clients to clarify project goals, needs, and scope
•Coordinate with Comms team members to assess capacity, assign resources, and establish timelines for project completion
•Track multiple concurrent projects while communicating clearly with internal stakeholders about project status and timelines
•Document project requirements, workflows, and deliverables using project management tool- Asana
•Ensure all tasks, deliverables, and project materials are delivered on schedule
Communications Team Support:
•Support the Comms team in planning and executing internal and external initiatives
•Coordinate with Comms team members to delegate projects, identify milestones, and monitor progress
•Manage and oversee contractors, interns, etc., supervising their work, planning and managing key tasks throughout a project, and providing guidance as needed
Stakeholder Coordination:
•Serve as the primary point of contact for project requests received by the Comms dept.
•Coordinate with the Comms team and internal clients on workflow and timelines to meet deliverables and deadlines
•Coordinate review and approval processes with relevant stakeholders, if needed
•Maintain effective communication with internal clients and provide follow-ups concerning project status
Project Administration:
•Manage project development timelines, outlining skills and resources necessary for the Comms team to complete projects on time and within budget successfully
•Document relevant steps of the project process using project management tool- Asana
•Evaluate and track project metrics and team performance to identify opportunities for improvement
•Create, schedule, and manage a calendar of all annual projects
•Manage vendor relationships and external service procurement when needed
•Improve project management principles and systems to enhance efficiency
Other
•Maintain familiarity with strategic District levels of service
•Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts
•Perform other duties as required
Required Experience:
•Five (5) years of experience working with a centralized marketing or communications department that serves an entire organization
•Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in project management with a proven ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams/departments
•Proven track record of successful project delivery within defined timelines and budgets
•Five (5) years of experience using project management tools and methodologies
•Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
•Self-starter with the ability to multitask and effectively work under tight deadlines on a regular basis and flexibility to work in an interactive environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity and change
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Experience:
•Experience in water utilities or public sector communications
•Ideal candidate has a background in government agencies, universities, utilities, or large corporations where multiple divisions need marketing/communications support
•Experience working in a centralized marketing/communications or similar department that provides services and strategic support across multiple internal departments
•Familiarity with creative production processes and marketing campaign execution
•Experience managing creative professionals or communications teams
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credentials
•Thorough knowledge and experience of project management software (e.g., Asana or similar tool) with the ability to improve team efficiency
Required Education/Certification/License:
•Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Management, PM, or a related field
•Valid Texas driver’s license

•Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Management, PM, or a related field
