Summary/Objective
The Construction Project Manager’s role is to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, budgeting, , quality and supervising all aspects of the project to ensure it is completed on time, within scope, and on budget. They will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of construction processes and safety standards.

- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Two to four years commercial construction experience required.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and milestones. Coordinate the efforts of architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of the project.
- Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, ensuring that the project is completed within financial constraints. Approve and track expenditure, handle change orders, and manage financial reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the project team, including superintendents, subcontractors, and support staff.
- Establish project schedules and ensure deadlines are met. Adjust timelines as needed to accommodate changes or address potential delays.
- Ensure that all work is performed according to established quality standards, building codes, and client specifications. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify issues.
- Identify and assess potential risks to the project’s success, including budget overruns, delays, safety concerns, and legal issues. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Ensure that contractual obligations are met and that any disputes or issues are resolved promptly.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the client, contractors, and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, potential issues, and successes.
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and presentations as required.
- Ensure the project complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and building codes. Promote and enforce safety policies on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
- Oversee project closeout, including final inspections, client walkthroughs, and the resolution of any punch-list items. Ensure that all documentation and warranties are provided to the client.

- College Level Degree, or equivalent education and experience.
- Five+ years work experience directly related to commercial construction.- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar leadership role in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, quality, safety and contract management.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project), Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, , Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to inspect construction sites, including standing for long periods, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed for safety equipment or materials.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is full-time. Employee is expected to work 40 hours per work week. Events may occur during evenings and weekends.
