About the Role - SRS is hiring a Civil Engineer - Project Manager. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize workload, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic. This is a highly responsible managerial and professional position in charge of directing and coordinating the design of engineering projects and staff. Must be experienced in design and project management of engineering projects, including roadways, drainage, water and sewer systems, drainage systems, and land development projects. Applicants must be very familiar with local regulatory agency requirements and permitting. A PE license is a plus and must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience. The position requires a thorough familiarity with local regulatory and design requirements, the ability to exercise sound technical judgment on engineering issues and the ability to lead and direct multiple design projects and staff. Position may also require constant communications with our clients and maintaining successful relationships. Must have great communications skills and comfortable dealing with people and resolving issues.
Responsibilities
•Planning, design, permitting and construction management of civil engineering projects including roadways, water and sewer pipelines, pump stations, drainage systems, and land development projects.
•Overseeing permitting process of projects with local regulatory agencies.
•Managing activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, quality, communications, resources, and risk elements to optimize client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility.
•Project outlines, project initiation, project schedules, project executions, and project closeout
•Lead specification and contract document preparation including permitting, and stakeholder involvement.
•Manage day-to-day activities of project engagements including clients and project teams.
•Successfully interface with multi-disciplinary design teams
•Achieve project objectives including quality/scopes, budgets, and schedules.
•Mentor engineering staff.
•Develop and maintain continuing business relationships with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts.
Qualifications
•Must possess a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
•5+ years of relevant project management and design experience.
•Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida is Preferred.
•Strong technical design experience and knowledge of local permitting requirements and procedures.
•Excellent technical writing skills

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
