- Researching, leading fieldwork, and authoring reports and report sections focused on architectural history and history.

- Creating and developing proposals including establishing budgets, schedules, and applicable resources for architectural history and history efforts.

- Managing and coordinating architectural history and multi-disciplinary cultural resource projects including scheduling, managing budgets, leading teams, and liaising with clients on field survey and evaluation projects.

- Coordinating with state and federal agencies, and clients to ensure successful project results.

- Building relationships with current and future clients and teaming partners.

What qualifications are required for this role?

- A master's degree in Historic Preservation, Public History, Heritage Conservation, Architectural History, History, or a related field.

- Meeting the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualifications Standards for Architectural History.

- At least five (5) years of experience on architectural history projects, preferably in the Western US.

- Excellence in conducting primary and secondary research, writing technical architectural history and history reports, and preparing interpretive materials

- In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal cultural resources laws and regulations.

- Expertise in applying relevant significance criteria to make eligibility recommendations for historic-age properties.

- Customer-focused approach to project management, including supporting clients through contentious projects and circumstances.

- Positive working relationships with State Historic Preservation Officers and agencies.

- Experience conducting and leading fieldwork in environments ranging from highly developed urban areas to remote rural properties, including in inclement weather.

- Commitment to ensuring field safety.

- Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.

The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $120,000 annually.
