We are currently seeking: Project Management Director - Data Centers
The Project Management Director, Data Centers will plan and oversee the daily project management operations from inception through completion of the physical security division to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a strategic leader that will ensure company objectives are achieved while mitigating risk and maintaining company standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities:
•Hires, trains, and mentors project management staff, including Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
•Ensures adherence to project management and operational procedures.
•Develop production plans, assign schedules, and oversee the work of assigned staff.
•Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations.
•Manages employee discipline in coordination with the Director of Physical Security and company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
•Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure that all projects align with company goals and client expectations.
•Identify potential risk and develop strategy to mitigate said risk. Monitor progress of plan to completion.
•Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
Operational Oversight
•Ensures project management team develops and executes comprehensive project plans, schedules, scopes, budgets and utilizes the required resources to successfully execute projects.
•Ensures Buy-Out Process of projects is done in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
•Ensures Subcontractor Searching/Procurement and Vetting is done proactively to support departments scheduling and staffing needed for upcoming projects and backlog of work.
•Responsible for supporting Project Managers to issue Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and other agreements to ensure scope of work is correct, risk mitigation is addressed, schedule durations are included, and other requirements are addressed. Coordinate with Contract Administrator and Preconstruction as needed.
•Supports project managers with project execution as needed.
Team Development and Process Improvement
•Lead and manage the project management team, including Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and other project staff in support of company operations and project management responsibilities.
•Support, Train, and hold Project Managers accountable on company processes and documentation control including:
+ Material Procurement Process
+ Updated Submittal log and PO efforts
+ Subcontractor Procurement Process
+ Change Order Process
+ WIP/Cost Forecast Support
+ Scheduling Communication
+ Delay/Cost Claims with Client
•Identify opportunities for growth and betterment by developing and implementing new processes and training.
•Support Director of Field Operations on company field processes.
•Communicate field training needs with Director of Field Operations and General Manager as needed.
Cross Functional Collaboration
•Coordinates with other support departments such as business development, human resources, finance, shop, and fleet/assets to ensure successful field operations for the region.
•Coordinates with Senior EHS Manager to ensure Tusco’s Safety Plan and safety requirements are being met.
•Coordinates with Director of Field Operations to ensure Quality Control of field operations for assigned Tusco crews and second-tier subcontractors.
•Provides support to the preconstruction department and estimators when needed to ensure projects are handed off to Project Management and Operations team in a timely manner.
•Assist with the review of Contracts, as needed, to ensure Tusco’s scope of work is correct, risk mitigation is addressed, schedule durations are included, and other requirements are addressed. Coordinate with Director of Physical Security and Contract Administrator as needed.

•Responsible for coordinating with Director of Project Operations to ensure Long-Term and Short-Term Schedule Forecasts and Planning for the Department are accurate and updated weekly.
•Supports preconstruction team with pre-bid jobsites visits as needed.
•Coordinates with HR and Field Ops Manager on recruiting and new field hire needs & process.
•Coordinate with other Directors and Managers within the Physical Security Department to ensure consistency and in support of Tusco’s core values.
Additional Duties
•Assist in similar roles for jobs based outside of department, as necessary.
•Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
•Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
•Extensive knowledge of perimeter security operations.
•Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set operational goals.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
•Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
•Proficient in Blue Beam Revu or similar software.
•Willingness to travel as needed.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent related field experience.
•10 years of related construction project management experience required with minimum of 5 years in senior management and management of other project managers.
•5 years of Data Center specific project management experience is required.
