We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimation Specialist to join our construction team. This individual will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential and/or commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction methods, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracts.
•
Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
•
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate scoping and pricing.
•
Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes.
•
Develop and maintain a database of costs and pricing history.
•
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed to gather essential project information.
•
Assist in identifying potential risks and propose value-engineering solutions.
•
Ensure all estimates comply with relevant codes, industry standards, and client specifications.
•
Track and report on changes in project scope and adjust cost estimates accordingly.
•
Support project handoff to operations team, ensuring smooth transition from preconstruction to build phase.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
