Project Engineer - Power Gen

Construction Project Engineer – Natural Gas Power Generation Location:

Salt Lake City, UT (On-site with some office work)

Duration: 18+ Months | Contract

We are seeking a

Construction Project Engineer

to provide technical and logistical support for a large-scale natural gas power generation project. While this position will not perform detailed engineering design, it will play a key role in managing the engineering process, coordinating procurement, and supporting the project manager.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the liaison between engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

- Track engineering deliverables and ensure timely reviews, approvals, and submittals.

- Coordinate the procurement of equipment and materials, ensuring delivery aligns with construction needs.

- Review engineering documents for compliance with project requirements and facilitate resolution of technical issues.

- Support the project manager in monitoring progress, budgets, and schedules.

- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

- 5–8+ years of project engineering experience on large industrial or power generation projects.

- Experience with natural gas power generation strongly preferred.

- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple disciplines.

- Familiarity with construction workflows, procurement processes, and contractor coordination.

- Proficiency with project documentation and reporting tools.
