PROJECT ENGINEERING II (Hybrid - La Crosse, WI)
Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. The actual offer may vary, reflecting the candidate's unique blend of experience, educational background, and skill level.
The Project Engineer II is responsible for managing assigned major power production and distribution engineering projects involving the repair, overhaul, upgrade, backfit or modification of structures and equipment, components and systems of power transmission, distribution, and generation. Manage the planning, design, construction, testing and operational commissioning of new equipment and facilities.

Education & Experience: B.S. degree in engineering or physical sciences. Minimum of four (4) years of project engineering/management, plant engineering, construction management, operations, or maintenance experience in the power industry or a closely related field. Construction, startup, testing and project lifecycle experience are desirable. Familiarity with power transmission design, power plant cycles, power generation and transmission equipment, components and systems is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in all safety rules, practices, and procedures. Must be able to create, read and interpret specifications and drawing sets consistent with industry standards. Computer literacy and skills in a Windows Operating System and related software platforms. Management, planning, scheduling, financial analysis, and business economics. Professional communication and writing skills and administration skills. Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations. Attention to detail. Ability to work cooperatively with people at all levels of the organization.
Licenses and Certifications: Current Professional Engineers License (PE) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable. Advanced safety training is preferred.
