Facilities Projects Project Controls Specialist, Calgary, AB

If you are an expert in Project Controls and Cost Controls for major projects and are seeking a new role in a dynamic team, then we want to hear from you! The MEG Energy Facilities Projects team is expanding with an opportunity for an energetic self-starter who is looking to take on a critical role in directly supporting the business through the preparation, maintenance and continuous improvement of our Project Controls development, control and reporting. Your day-to-day will include:* Provide and demonstrate safety leadership in accordance with MEG programs, inspiring and motivating others to ensure safety in all activities and taking care of themselves and others. + Track and report budgets, changes, trends, potentials, current budget, forecast and variances to budget. + Collect, Verify, and compile actuals, incurred, committed cost, progress, including cost investigation to ensure data quality. + Calculate and report productivities, performance, earned value and variances. + Identify the areas of concern and potential impact on project financial performance. Report on unfavorable variances to aid the management decision-making and corrective plans. + Work closely with various contractors, review their reporting to ensure MEG reporting accurately reflects the state of the project. + Monthly review of remaining work to go and produce time phased forecasts and graphing. + The development and review of detailed and summary level cash flows. + Compiling and reporting monthly outlooks to MEG corporate financial group ensuring capital spend forecasts and accruals are accurate and timely. + The tracking of weekly labour costs to ensure spending is kept within budget, making adjustments where appropriate.

What you will bring to MEG:* 7+ years of directly related experience in project controls and Cost Controls.
