We are seeking a highly motivated Project Controls Intern to join our Project Controls team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cost control, scheduling, and project reporting within a fast-paced, real-world industrial environment. Ideal for students pursuing degrees in engineering, construction management, finance, or business.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist the Project Controls team in compiling and validating project cost data, including tracking actuals, commitments, and forecasts.
•Support development and updates of project schedules under guidance using Primavera P6, helping identify critical path and float trends.
•Learn how to build and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and cost coding aligned with scope, schedules, and budgets.
•Contribute to preparation of cost and schedule performance reports, assisting in presenting data to internal stakeholders.
•Gain hands-on experience using SAP to manage project costs, purchase orders, work orders, and service entry sheets.
•Help maintain accurate change management logs by tracking change orders and ensuring updates are reflected in cost and schedule reports.
•Collaborate with engineers, finance teams, and planners to understand how data flows between planning, execution, and reporting.
•Participate in team meetings and walkthroughs to understand project status, risks, and opportunities.
•Help streamline internal reporting processes by developing and maintaining Excel templates, dashboards, or automation tools.
•Learn and support compliance with corporate project controls standards, procedures, and audit practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or Business.
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
•Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Exposure to SAP, Primavera P6, or other project systems.
•Previous internship or academic project experience.
•Understanding of budgeting, scheduling, or cost concepts.
