A leader in the energy industry, specializing in crude and natural gas transportation and gathering, has an immediate need for a Cost Control Analyst to provide "Total Cost Control" guidance, governance, and support for Project Managers and project team members. This role involves collaboration with schedule control counterparts and supporting the implementation of all Project Control processes and procedures, including Baselining, Change Management, Risk Assessments, Lifecycle Stage Gates, and Reporting.
- Provide guidance and support to Project Managers and project teams on cost planning, tracking, measurement, forecasting, and reporting during project execution and development.
- Conduct monthly reviews of cost/cash flow forecasts with the Project Manager and extended project team to meet regular reporting requirements.
- Offer timely, accurate, and relevant guidance on approved cost control standards to manage Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) components, including External Engineering services, Procurement of Material/Equipment, Construction services, internal costs, and more.
- Maintain cost and schedule planning, tracking, and reporting tools.
- Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to identify, analyze, and report cost risks promptly.
- Communicate continuously and collaboratively with Project Managers and project cost control teams to address project cost-related needs.
- Monitor project reporting, identify deviations, and assist project cost control teams with data gathering and delivery issues.
- Participate in joint Cost, Schedule, and Risk Health Checks to verify effective planning and implementation of cost processes.
- Engage in project meetings with vendors to understand project status changes and provide cost-related assistance.
- Lead the completion of remaining closeout activities for projects.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred (Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management).
- Completion of a Certified Cost Engineer (AACE's CCC/CCE) or Project Management Professional credential (PMP) is preferred.
- Four to eight years of experience in cost and schedule management and other project controls functions for multiple project assignments.
- Proficient in Oracle, EcoSys, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with Power BI, OneDrive, and SharePoint for documentation and reporting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
- Experience in developing, enhancing, and implementing cost and schedule standards.
- Experience in using and enhancing cost control tools and associated systems.
- Effective analytical skills with an understanding of detailed workflows for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
- Ability to prioritize a heavy workload and provide well-developed recommendations to the Project Team.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a dispersed team.
- Must be able to work with a team across multiple locations.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, and/or Power industries is preferred.Please note: Successful applicants will be employees of Raise, working at Enbridge facilities with both Enbridge and contract employees.
