WestCorp Solutions is seeking an experienced Turnaround Project Controls Analyst to support our client in Fort McMurray, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost management and performance analysis, with a strong focus on timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to established standards and processes.
Location: Fort McMurray, AB Contract Length: TBD Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour days Travel: Daily client-provided bussing to/from site. Candidates are responsible for their own accommodations in the Fort McMurray area. Camp accommodations are not available for this role.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve all aspects of cost control, forecasting, change management, and reporting for turnaround project controls.
- Adhere to all relevant standards, procedures, templates, and specifications.
- Manage commitments, actual costs, and budget allocations.
- Calculate incurred costs, conduct cost variance analysis, and prepare cost reports.
- Maintain the project change log, initiate Project Change Notices, and manage the project baseline and control budget.
- Notify the Project Controls Manager of budget deviations and support timely issue resolution.
- Progressively close out project milestones and report metrics/KPIs in CT/MESR.
- Execute project controls closeout activities, including preparation of the final closeout report and benchmarking data.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Controls Analyst in the oil & gas or related heavy industrial sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or equivalent education (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and SAP; including project modules
- Strong understanding and practical application of project control concepts
- PMP, CCE, or CCP certification is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- CSO or BSO certification required for client site access.
