Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.

Hybrid fixed are roles that are a blend of onsite work/in-person interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.

Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

This is a "Project" position designed to support project work for a limited duration. While the exact duration of the project is yet to be determined, we currently anticipate a period of 3-5 years based on business needs at the present time following which you will separate from the Company. It is important for you to understand that this period may be shortened based on business needs in the future at which point you will separate from the Company. It is also important for you to understand that this employment is of a limited duration and that you will not be entitled to separation benefits under any PSEG plan at the time you separate from the Company. Director Level approval and waiver will be required for you to bid on other PSEG opportunities within the first 3 years of assignment. From year 4 through the end of your assignment, Director level approval and waiver will not be required. If your assignment ends prior to the anticipated timeframe based on business needs, you will be allowed to bid on other PSEG opportunities without Director level approval from the time you are notified your assignment will be ending through the end date of the assignment.

The Business Support Specialist will provide critical administrative and operational support to the Electric T&D Delivery Operations Support team including: Delivery Operations Support, Utility Emergency Preparedness and Vegetation Management


Job Responsibilities

Draft, edit, and maintain reports, procedures, presentations, and correspondence on behalf of Electric T&D Operations Support.

Track and manage projects, deliverables, deadlines, and status updates.
Coordinate Utility Emergency Operations Center logistics including supplies, equipment, workspace management, and scheduling of support services
Assist in budget tracking, procurement processing, and invoice reconciliation.
Prepare and analyze reports using Excel, SAP, or other enterprise platforms to support operational decision-making.
Organize and support onboarding for new Liaisons and UEOC On Call Team members and coordinate training logistics.
Manage sending out staffing and availability requests via the internal Workforce Management System.
Manage updating the weekly Utility Emergency Operations Center On-Call Team Schedule.
Maintain database for Storm Contractors to ensure all requests are answered and to maintain historical records of contractor onboarding, billing issues and improvements.
Must be available to support Electric T&D Operations Support during storms and system disruptions remotely, in-person, or out in the field based on business need.
Serve as a Liaison with IT and other Support Services in the development of systems to support Emergency Restoration Role Availability and the Workforce Management System.


Job Specific Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent relevant experience and work history

Demonstrate excellent communication and team building skills
Demonstration strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work independently, is self-directed and can multi-task
Must have a valid U.S. drivers’ license and safe driving record
Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices
Support Electric T&D Operations Support during storms, outages and/or system disruptions remotely, in-person, or in the field based on business need, as requested.
