Project Accountant

Project Accountant Location: Oakland County, MI | On-site Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 annually, depending on experience

Role Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join their growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting financial reporting, project-level budgeting, and investor communications. The ideal candidate will bring accuracy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, onsite position offering the opportunity to contribute directly to impactful real estate development projects.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role

- Strong computer skills, including Excel

- Familiarity with month-end close procedures and work paper preparation

- Comfortable managing deposits, reconciliations, and financial reporting tasks

- Must be able to work 100% on-site in Oakland County, MI

Desired Qualifications

- Experience in project accounting or corporate finance, preferably within real estate or construction

- Exposure to handling distributions, sales budgets, gross profit reporting, or investor correspondence

- Degree from a well-regarded accounting or finance program (e.g., MSU, Wayne State, Oakland University, Walsh)

- Local candidates with a commute of 30–45 minutes or less strongly preferred
