Solid Surface Designs, Inc. has been fabricating and installing custom countertops for the Springfield, Branson and Joplin areas since 1993. Over the past 27 years we have grown to be the four-state area's premier fabricator and installer of natural stone, engineered stone and solid surface countertops. Our 30,000 square foot fabrication facility is located west of Billings, Missouri just off of US highway 60. The SSD team is committed to providing our customers the highest level of service and quality.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Programming Technician to join our team. This position plays a key role in preparing projects for production by translating field measurements into precise shop-ready programming. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

•

Verify and organize drawings from field templators

•

Prepare CAD-based programs for saw jets, CNC machines, bridge saws and other fabrication equipment

•

Print physical templates for shop and installation crews

•

Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards and internal company policies

•

Support continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing practices

•

Collaborate with shop and install teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications & Skills

•

Computer-aided drafting (CAD) experience preferred

•

Experience in countertop fabrication, carpentry or construction is a plus

•

Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly

•

Excellent organizational and mathematical skills

•

Ability to read and understand measurements and technical drawings

•

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines

•

Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to quality

•

Must be able to lift, stand, push and pull up to 50 lbs

•

Reliable transportation required

•

Must be at least 18 years old

•

Solid work history with verifiable references

•

Must pass a drug screening and background check
