Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the overall execution of underground/overhead electrical distribution design projects and programs (4kV to 25kV)
•Accountable for the on-budget and on-schedule delivery of concurrent electrical distribution projects while maintaining a high degree of quality.
•Coordinate work and communication among internal team members as well as external partners and stakeholders.
•Mentorship and development of Engineers, Technologists, Drafting and Project Managers on the team.
•Coordination with customers, municipal authorities, other utilities, and various project stakeholders for project execution.
•Project schedule, cost and communication management, and reporting.
•Clearly communicate with clients and project stakeholders to mitigate project risks and expectations.
•Work with the team to seek out, develop, and maintain relationships with clients.
•Project level quoting, planning, design, and project management as required.
•Off-site meetings and site checks as required.
•Analyze and produce financial and schedule reporting for projects as needed.
•Project acquisition, sales, and customer relationship building.
•Peer mentoring and training with other team members.
•Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
•Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized college or university.
•PMP designation through PMI Institute (recommended).
•Electrical distribution, substation, or transmission design experience (both underground and overhead).
•Experience with regional power providers is an asset (BC Hydro, Fortis BC)
•Class 5 driver’s license.
