We are looking to fill the position of Professional Bookkeeper. We are seeking a well-organized and highly motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team committed to the growth and expansion of the group of companies.

Daily duties will be performed on site in the offices connected to our production shop to ensure communication and collaboration between all departments.
The ideal candidate will hold a current certification in professional bookkeeping (or other similar designation) with the intention of maintaining their membership or have over 5 years bookkeeping experience in the construction and trades industries preforming full cycle accounting tasks. We require someone with a high-level knowledge of Sage 50 premium Desktop software, who can confidently preform all entries associated with AR, AP, payroll, month end, year end, inter-company transaction and foreign exchange adjustments.
This position is best suited for a candidate who is highly organized, passionate about building efficiency while having the ability to adapt to the daily needs of the job as the arise. A positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills are also essential.
∙Data entry of vendor and sales invoices including recording the inter-company
∙Send out monthly customer statements and contact customers with overdue accounts
∙Track expenses, vendor payment management and payment of invoices
∙Complete payroll entries and prepare cheques for a 26 pay period year and pay source
∙Produce Financial reporting documents for partners, banks, and other institutions.
∙Prepare and file the monthly GST remittance for 3 + companies
∙Prepare files for year end for the external accountant’s review
∙Ensure compliance with the CRA and any other Provincial and Federal bodies
∙Excellent Proficiency with Sage50 Premium Desktop accounting software
∙Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams,)
∙Comfortable speaking on the phone, in person, communating through email, video
conferences, as well as internal company message boards
∙Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential material
∙Perform various ratio calculations and report comprehensive conclusions
∙Provide feedback and assist in building financial and inventory forecasts
∙Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency
