The Production Lead plays a vital role in the daily operations of our manufacturing floor, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to safety protocols, and the production of high-quality goods. This position provides leadership and guidance to production team members, facilitates communication, and assists the Production Supervisor/Manager in achieving production targets. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a commitment to safety, and a proven track record of leadership within a manufacturing setting.
- Provide daily leadership and direction to assigned production team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Monitor workflow and ensure efficient operation of equipment.
- Assist in training new employees on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report more complex problems to Production Manager.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
- Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to quality control standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding production status, issues, and improvements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains and communicate these to the Production Supervisor/Manager.
- Assist the Production Supervisor/Manager in implementing production schedules and meeting production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Manager.
- Must have a stable work history with at least two (2) years of continuous employment in a previous role.
- Must be able to pass random drug testing as a condition of employment.
- Minimum of two (2) years of managerial or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate teams.
