What is a Production Supervisor?
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the assembly operations of perforating guns, ensuring high-quality output in a cost-effective manner. This hands-on role involves managing employees, promote the company core values, organizing workflows, and evaluating the efficiency of manufacturing processes.
In this role, you will:
•Supervise production activities, optimizing productivity and efficiency to ensure on-time delivery
•Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback and guidance to direct reports
•Approve time and other personnel related administrative activities
•Provide and support, empowering teamwork, cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives
•Ensure products meet company quality standards
•Maintain quality control procedures and conduct quality inspections and audits
•Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow
•Troubleshoot and resolve any production related issues
•Promote a safety culture of engagement and accountability
•Enforce transactional discipline while monitoring and maintaining inventory
•Assist in implementing the best practices to improve productivity and product quality
•Participate in initiatives to promote continuous improvement, problem-solving and minimize waste to optimize operations
•Accurately track and analyze production data and report key performance indicators
•Perform other duties as assigned
Required and Preferred Experience:
•1–3 years of experience as a supervisor or equivalent manufacturing work experience, with exposure to fundamental manufacturing theories, principles, and concepts
•Understanding and experience with 5S and LEAN tools highly preferred
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills
•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
•Computer proficiency, including MS Office, and ERP/MRP systems
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
•Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear
•Occasionally required to use hands to manipulate with fingers, handle or feel
•Lift, push or pull up to 25 lbs. (Oso Perforating/SEF Energy employees shall not manually lift an item weighing more than 50 lbs., they shall utilize mechanical assistance devices. If mechanical assistance devices are not available, utilize a team lift.)
•Occasionally work around wet, humid conditions (non-weather) and outdoor weather conditions
•Ability to see at a close distance (clear vision at 20 inches or less), identify and distinguish colors
Education:
•High school diploma or equivalent required
•College education is preferred
