Production Manager - Metal Perforation

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead our perforating manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise in manufacturing, and a passion for optimizing processes to meet and exceed production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Oversee day-to-day production operations in the perforating department, ensuring schedules, targets, and customer commitments are met.

•

Lead and develop a team of operators, technicians, and supervisors, providing clear direction, training, and performance management.

•

Drive a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company-specific safety policies and procedures.

•

Monitor and analyze production data, including efficiency, scrap rates, downtime, and throughput, taking proactive measures to improve performance.

•

Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods to support production schedules while minimizing waste.

•

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including, supply chain, and customer service, to meet production goals.

•

Prepare and present regular reports on production performance to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

•

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.

•

5+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role; experience in perforating manufacturing highly preferred.

•

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards.

•

Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

•

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

•

Proficient in production planning tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

•

Physical Requirements:

•

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 15 lbs.

•

Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures typical of a production facility.
