Production Control Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Production Control Supervisor will oversee daily production schedules and ensure that inventory levels are managed properly.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
•
Oversees the day-to-day workflow of production staff.
•
Manages supervisory production control staff.
•
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
•
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

•
Oversees the production process to ensure delivery of high-quality products that meet customers’ needs.
•
Ensures appropriate production rate to reduce delivery delays.
•
Collaborates with the customer service and sales departments to identify and resolve delivery concerns.
•
Identifies any bottlenecks or delays in production; works with operations staff to ensure necessary labor, materials, and other resources are available to relieve production bottlenecks and delays.
•
Uses production planning and scheduling to limit materials shortages.
•
Schedules maintenance and repair of machines used in production processes to avoid downtime or delays.
•
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
•
Extensive knowledge of manufacturing requirements and planning.
•
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•
Proficient with computerized materials control programs.
•
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
•
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience required.
•
At least 2 years of relevant experience required.
Physical Requirements:
•
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
