The Production Auditor will ensure that all production and operational activities meet established standards and customer requirements from our Brownsville, Texas facility.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry regulation (e.g., ISO9001, API etc.) in the production department.
- Conduct in-process inspections, audits and final product verification to ensure conformance.
- Investigate nonconformities, identify root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and optimize efficiency.
- Use quality tools (5 whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, SPC, etc.) to analyze data and drive improvements.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance product quality and operational performance.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
- Prepare quality performance reports, metrics, and dashboards for management review.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and measuring equipment.
- Serve as the point of contact for quality-related issues on the production floor.
- Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning in quality performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, or a related field preferred
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, kneel, squat, twist and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train production staff.
