Job Overview
Texcast has an immediate opening for a SHOP HELPER (General Labor). This position reports to the General Manager.
Major Responsibilities:
•
Dip Wax Assemblies into dip tanks hand dipping.
•
Clean and set up wax assemblies for shelling operation.
•
Clean of slurry tanks making up new slurries to maintain slurry tanks full. Control and test of slurries.
•
Preparation of wax assemblies for face coat. This includes visual inspection. Plate assemblies so they can be hung on racks or conveyor. Etch and clean assemblies.
•
Preparation for De-wax / De-plate molds for De-wax.
•
Cut finished products off the "tree" used and grind off extra metal
•
Prepare appropriate documentation.
•
Perform routine maintenance on the equipment.
•
Know all Shell Room policies, procedures and techniques.
•
Ability to cooperate and work effectively with others.
•
Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
•
Obtain various materials for jobs from stock areas
•
Abide by all safety rules and procedures
•
Daily shop maintenance (custodial duties and general shop/yard cleaning, clean work area, tool, equipment)
•
Load, stack, and transport stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand
•
Track supplies for daily use in the shop / office
•
Clean and scrape metal to prepare for fabricating, welding, assembling, or shipping
•
Work as a team member or alone to complete projects
•
Remove and truck scrap from work areas
•
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel
•
TIG Welding experience preferred
All positions offer PAID TRAINING.
•
you must be able to stand for 8-10 hours a day
•
you must be able to lift approximately 50+ lbs
•
ability to do simple math and read instructions
•

Texcast uses the Lost-Wax Process or Investment Casting for parts which provides unique opportunities for engineers and designers. Intricate structures can be created with minimum or no secondary machining operations for net shape or near net shape investment castings. For this process we are seeking MOTIVATED employees for the following position.
