Production Assistant - Fabrication Department

At JW Hicks, we are looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add a production assistant for our fabrication department. We have a passion for producing the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

Production Assistant - Fabrication Department Job Responsibilities

- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move raw materials and work in progress

- Measure and cut materials to length according to blueprints

- Inspect, prepare, finish and package products for final shipping

- Maintain raw material and product identification to ensure traceability

- Assist fabricators as needed

- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition

Production Assistant - Fabrication Department Qualifications

- Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout shift

- Positive attitude and ability and willingness to learn

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Must pass a post-offer, preemployment physical and drug screen prior to employment
