The Production Assembler will perform assembly duties for multiple departments to ensure daily requirements are met.
- Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions.
- Perform high precision calibration and advanced adjustments using testing instruments.
- Monitor the functioning of all equipment and report any problems or substandard condition.
- Ensure all production logbooks are maintained according to standard operating procedures.
- Perform equipment assembly according to engineering drawings.
- Perform cleaning of all parts as per established cleaning procedures.
- Perform pre-assembly activities such as cleaning and lubricating.
- Conduct product testing and performance testing and record the results.
- Perform final checks and adjustments for any defects to ensure high quality products.
- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
- Removes small quantities of metal with hand tools to produce close fit between parts.
- May use hand grinder and chisel to clean parts to quality standards.
- May use beveling tools as instructed to create parts to customer requirements.
· Capable of working collaboratively and effectively with others.
· Personal commitment to high quality standards. Strong communication skills and an ability to formulate positive interpersonal relationships.
· Must have the ability to use small hand and power tools.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time.
· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
