Production and Land Analyst Oil and Gas
Job Description
The company is seeking a Production and Land Analyst to report to, and work directly with our production and land management team. The individual will be responsible for communicating with and conducting negotiations with landowners.
Responsibilities
•Research county records to determine surface and mineral ownership by utilizing online databases or travel to the local county courthouse to review county records (as needed)
•Analyze and document research results to select the relevant information to input into reports for submission to the management
•Direct responsibility for tasks or delegation and management thereof:
•Establishing and documenting processes for document management and conformity/clean-up of all agreements related to minerals for signature and distribution
•Responsible for seeking advice and approval from other departments on their areas of expertise during agreement negotiations
•Preparation and maintenance of deal tracking reports, etc.
•Identification of communication and other processes or tools for keeping executive management and other departments informed of land strategy and agreements
•Conduct analysis, corrections, and reporting for daily and monthly volume allocations.
•Ensure accurate and timely accruals and reconcile volumes with revenue accounting.
•Develop allocation networks, including new wells, gathering systems, and production measurement equipment.
•Maintains effective communication with field operators, foremen, and office staff regarding the use of data entry systems.
•Reconcile volume discrepancies by comparing allocated volumes, estimated daily volumes, and purchaser statements.
•Prepare and submit state and federal production reports.
•Organize, input, and reconcile crude oil and water tickets against third-party statements.
•Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure daily and monthly allocation accuracy at the well level.
Mandatory Requirements
•Minimum of 2-3 years of experience
•Ability to meet specific deadlines, daily and weekly, based on current internal and client needs
•Ability to work with minimal supervision
•Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management and clients (in writing and verbally)
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel , Access, and Word
