Production Accountant

Cardinal Energy has a full-time opportunity for a Production Accountant, working on oil-weighted Alberta properties, reporting to the Manager, Production Revenue Accounting. The successful candidate would have experience in the following and be able to perform their duties individually and in a team environment.

Key responsibilities:

- Responsible for accurate and timely production and revenue reporting for operated and non-operated properties in Alberta

- Crown, Freehold and GORR understanding and reporting

- Monthly reconciliations to marketing statements and field data system

- Review and analysis of properties on an ongoing basis

- Monthly A/R review and reconciliations for assigned properties

- Liaise and handle internal queries with Operations, Land, JV, Marketing and Field staff

- Responding to EPAP, external partner and audit related queries

Preferred skills:

- Five to seven years of relevant experience

- Strong communication skills and excellent work ethic

- Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of financial entries

- Good organizational and time management skills are required

- Experience with Petronet considered an asset

- CAPPA certification is required
