DSG is seeking a Product Owner in our Plymouth, MN location to join our Ecommerce team. The Product Owner supports the growth, productivity, and customer experience for DSG’s digital tools. They are responsible for defining product features based on internal and external needs, working with development team to deliver functionality, and measuring the effectiveness to continuously improve the tools.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Product Owner at DSG:
•Maintain and refine product backlog, create user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those that align with product strategy.
•Act as a mediator between the customers, business leaders, and the technical teams - communicating consumer needs and translating those needs into new product features.
•Ensure user stories communicate the customer and stakeholder needs to meet key business objectives and strategies for the product.
•Track and monitor KPI’s based on aligned goals and objectives.
•Participate in sprint planning, grooming sessions, and sprint retro meetings.
•Partner with software provider for upgrades or other updates impacting DSG.
•Collaborate with other product team owners to align product roadmaps, timing, and dependencies.
•Engage with customers and users regularly to uncover implicit and explicit needs.
•Provide recommendations for new or changes in current processes to create consistency or improve efficiencies.
•Evangelize new capabilities through training and demos to internal and external stakeholders.
•Manage the operations and support tickets/questions/issues related to the communications tool.
•Provide regular updates on usage and progress of new features documentation/reports to share with leaders and stakeholders.
•All other duties as assigned.
A Successful Product Owner Typically Has:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience in software development, website management or other digital tool
•Minimum 3-5 years of professional work experience in product management/agile delivery
•Experience in product operating model and development (Agile practices)
•Formal experience with management tools such as JIRA and confluence preferred
•A sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles
•Knowledge of digital customer experience best practices
•Familiarity with cloud-based technology
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
•Attention to detail, can-do attitude, and strong analytical and communication skills.
•Professionalism, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team orientated, fast-paced environment
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to listen and capture stakeholder needs and recommend solutions
