Role Overview
The Product Line Manager (PLM) is responsible for managing the development and full lifecycle of products within the Americas New Generation Systems (NGS) business, ensuring alignment with overall strategy and evolving market needs. This role offers the opportunity to apply strategic insight, technical expertise, and cross-functional leadership in a fast-paced, global environment. The Product Line Manager will work closely with teams across Mitsubishi Power to drive product success from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities
•Manage strategy of a specific product line across the fleet and throughout its entire lifecycle
•Act as the product expert and master data steward for Mitsubishi Power’s knowledge base of Products and support the Commercial Teams in opportunity development and product marketing, and strategy.
•Conduct analysis on product competitiveness based on market requirements and competitor products’ benchmarking.
•Lead Cost reduction or New Product Development (NPD) program to enhance our product competitiveness with collaboration with internal stakeholders.
•Conduct Market analysis on competitor products’ benchmarking.
•Develop strategies with commercial teams to facilitate specific business decisions based on product management processes.
•Collaborate with service business product line management teams to ensure new products are ready for service deployment.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in the following Engineering Fields: Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace.
•10+ years of previous experience with direct and commercial product lines for gas/steam turbines, combined cycle power plants, and power generation solutions.
•Expertise with products related to gas/steam turbines, auxiliary systems, utilities, and EPC (engineer, procurement, construction).
•Develop and maintain strategic product roadmaps in collaboration with Design Engineering, Application Engineering, Manufacturing, and Plant Engineering.
•Lead New Product Development (NPD) and Power+ initiatives to support the NGS (New Generation Systems) growth strategy.
•Demonstrate strong skills with Microsoft Products: Excel, PowerPoint, Project
•Experience establishing product cost targets in partnership with Supply Chain to drive cost-reduction strategies.
•Collaborate with Product collaboration teams to increase efficiencies in product change evolution and change management.
•Lead sales meetings, training, trade shows and webinars for both internal and external presentations.
•Ability to travel up to 25%.
