About This Job

Position: Procurement SupervisorLocation: Sealy, Texas, USACompany Overview: Hailiang Copper Texas Inc. (HCTI) is the U.S. subsidiary of Hailiang Group, one of the world's largest copper processing enterprises. As HCTI continues to expand its U.S. manufacturing operations, we are looking for a Procurement Supervisor with strong local execution capability and global collaboration experience to lead our sourcing activities in North America.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Develop and execute local procurement plans aligned with business needs and group-level sourcing strategies;

•

Lead the full-cycle procurement process from demand collection, supplier sourcing, quotation and negotiation, contract execution, order tracking, to delivery and invoice handling;

•

Build and maintain a reliable supplier base, with focus on machining, production consumables, and packaging materials;

•

Draft or review commercial terms and coordinate contract approval with legal teams;

•

Provide regular procurement reports to HQ on cost, compliance, and supplier performance;

•

Collaborate across functions including Finance, Warehouse, Production, and Engineering to ensure process alignment;

•

Ensure all procurement activities comply with U.S. laws and internal policies.

Qualifications:

•

Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in U.S.-based manufacturing companies;

•

Strong command of end-to-end procurement operations with sourcing and execution capabilities;

•

Proven local supplier network or strong sourcing problem-solving skills;

•

Proficiency in ERP/SRM systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.;

•

Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills; experience in multinational or Chinese-invested companies is a plus;

•

Ability to prepare commercial reports and summaries in English;

•

Highly accountable, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure;

•

US Citizen.

Preferred Attributes:

•

Understanding of operational differences between Chinese and U.S. companies;

•

Able to work across time zones with Chinese HQ teams;

•

Mandarin proficiency is a plus but not required;

•

Experience in purchasing packaging materials, industrial supplies, or machinery preferred.
