The Procurement Leader at NEFM is a key role within our organization. We are seeking an energetic, imaginative, and creative individual with experience managing a manufacturing supply chain, with a preference for metal fabrication experience. Your skills will be utilized within a fast growing, collaborative, and innovative shop environment. This position reports directly to the Production Manager and is a highly visible role that is critical to driving our continued success.

Responsibilities include:

· Purchase externally-sourced materials and services to support On Time Delivery by manufacturing while optimizing inventory costs.

· Track warehouse inventories and maintain accurate data within the MRP to ensure supply chains supports On Time Delivery by manufacturing while optimizing inventory costs.

· Represent New England Fabricated Metal’s values and deliver excellent service through each unique interaction with vendors

· Proactively identify and evaluate new vendors based on the overall value proposition of each potential new vendor relationship

· Establish and maintain vendor performance standards and scoring metrics

· Manage external secondary finishing services including expediting and purchasing.

· Perform work order, purchase order, and shipping document creation using our MRP system for all external spend for manufacturing.

· Assist with shipping processes during peak business periods

· Drive supply chain cost savings by competitively bidding significant spend accounts. Carry out this process for other sites in our company.

Qualifications of successful candidates:

· Excellent phone, email and in-person communication skills

· Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook

· Ability to communicate effectively with all office and production staff in a professional manner

· Prior metal fabrication environment experience is helpful

· Ability to spend portions of the day on your feet to communicate between the production floor and office spaces

· Familiarity with JobBOSS MRP software is preferred, but the ability to learn new MRP systems quickly and effectively is required

Additionally, the ideal candidate should be able to handle a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times and must be able to work both independently and as a team member.
