The Process Engineer will analyze, develop and optimize steel manufacturing processes in our Brownsville, TX facility.
- Perform data gathering, root cause analysis and performance trending in order to develop appropriate process changes.
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective measures to improve throughput, quality and yield.
- Design tooling, fixtures, and process parameters to meet product specifications and minimize scrap.
- Provide technical support to operators and maintenance teams during equipment breakdowns, welding issues, or material.
- Lead root cause analysis for process deviations, non-conformities, or customer complaints.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for all major process stages.
- Participate in capital improvement projects, including equipment upgrades and automation initiatives.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to align process improvements with operational needs.

- At least three (3) years’ experience in steel manufacturing, tube production, or heavy industrial processing.
- Familiarity with welding processes (ERW, MIG, TIG) coil slitting, forming mills, heat treatment, and finishing lines.
- Proven track record in process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
