About the Role:
We’re a family seeking a private in-home educator to work with our two young children, ages 3 and 4, in a warm, structured, and engaging environment. Our goal is to raise confident, curious, emotionally intelligent children—and we’re looking for a long-term partner who can nurture their development across all areas: academic, emotional, physical, and creative.
The ideal candidate blends Montessori principles with creative play, early academics, emotional coaching, and physical activity, tailoring their approach to each child's personality and growth needs.
Responsibilities:
•Design and lead daily learning sessions rooted in early childhood education best practices (Montessori preferred)
•Facilitate early reading, math, and sensory development through structured and play-based methods
•Guide emotional learning—helping our kids understand, label, and manage their feelings
•Introduce music, art, storytelling, movement, and curiosity-based exploration
•Reinforce good habits: patience, kindness, personal responsibility, and confidence
•Collaborate with parents on progress, strategies, and evolving routines
•Maintain a safe, respectful, and joyful learning environment
Preferred Qualifications:
•Montessori certification (AMS, AMI, or equivalent) or strong alignment with Montessori/Waldorf philosophy
•Degree or significant experience in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, or Development
•3+ years working with children ages 2–5
•Experience working with multiple children at once
•Creative, playful, and organized
•Comfortable with light routines like setting up learning areas or helping with snack transitions
•CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become)
Schedule:
•3–5 sessions per week, ideally during morning hours
•Each session: 2.5 to 4 hours, depending on candidate availability and family needs
•Total: 8–15 hours/week, with flexibility built into the schedule
Why Work With Us:
You’ll be joining a values-driven family committed to excellence, growth, and creating a nurturing environment for our children. We treat this position as a long-term collaboration, not just a job. You’ll have autonomy, appreciation, and the chance to deeply influence two bright young minds.
