The Principal Water Resources Specialist, under management direction, plans, organizes, directs, and implements activities within the Water Resources Department, including project management, strategic planning, and development of policy recommendations. The team works collaboratively in a fast-paced environment on a variety of complex issues in order to protect the CCWD’s Delta water supply and water quality.

To plan, organize, direct, supervise and manage water resources research and analysis activities related to water resources planning and policy development; to coordinate division activities with other divisions and departments; and to provide highly complex assistance to management staff.
The Principal Water Resources Specialist level recognizes positions that may provide full line and functional management responsibility for a division, with specific responsibility for a key focus area within Water Resources.
Receives administrative direction from general management staff.
Exercises direct supervision over professional and supervisory personnel.
