Principal Energy Market Analyst

ISO New England is the not-for-profit, independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid. We are at the forefront of New England’s ongoing transition to clean energy.

We seek motivated individuals to join the Market Development team. Our job is to lead projects that integrate new technologies into competitive electricity markets and help facilitate the region’s clean energy transition. We work as a team, within the department, the company, and the region, to assess, design, and implement real-world changes to improve the electric grid and electricity markets.

As an Energy Market Analyst, your primary responsibilities will involve assessing market designs, recommending solutions, and engaging with stakeholders. Your teammates come from a variety of backgrounds – economists, engineers, data scientists, writers, traders, business professionals, and more. Collectively, we assign projects and project roles based on each person’s expertise, passions, and goals. Candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
