Position Specific Description
The Principal Data Scientist will be responsible for developing & deploying machine learning models across various business functions to solve complex business problems. The role will also require creating and maintaining multiple data sources for model use. Must have experience coding in Python/SQL and knowledge of different libraries like NumPy, Pandas, etc. Experience using visualization tools (PowerBI / Tableau) to help socialize various analytics across the business.
Job Overview
This position is responsible for leading the development of algorithms, modeling techniques, and optimization methods that support many aspects of NextEra and FPL business. Employees in this role use knowledge of machine learning, optimization, statistics, and applied mathematics along with abilities in software engineering with a focus on distributed computing and data storage infrastructure (i.e., “Big Data”).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
The estimated base pay for this position is $145,600.00 to $218,400.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
