As our Pricing Advisor, you will participate in the pricing, structuring, load management and profitability analysis of the Engie Resources (Supply) retail power. Combining multiple data sources, the Pricing Advisor will identify opportunities, propose solutions and generate actionable insights in support of sales, pricing and load activities.This position sits in Houston, TX and reports to the Pricing Director
- Research complex business problems and identify opportunities to design, develop, and propose actionable solutions in support of pricing and load management activities
- Support the development and enhancement of models and system platforms to support pricing and load management activities
- Analyze the usage and product features associated with serving customers on various retail power products. Assign and price product structures as appropriate and in accordance with the Engie Resources product catalog and risk guidelines. Book executed retail transactions into the risk system
- Research and produce ad-hoc analysis on customer load characteristics, various cost components and regulatory issues to enhance competitiveness, optimize risk exposure and improve the profitability of the retail portfolio
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Business, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, or Computer Science. In lieu of a degree, we will accept ten (10) years of relevant professional experience where you gained hands-on expertise in data analysis, pricing strategies, forecasting methodologies, or other core functions related to the retail power industry
- You also have a minimum of seven (7) years of work-related experience in the retail power industry
- You are a strategic problem solver with strong analytical and statistical skills and can clearly communicate complex technical analysis to both technical teams and senior leadership
- You have a solid understanding of energy market fundamentals, including customer usage patterns and pricing methodologies
- You are knowledgeable in leveraging large data sets to uncover insights into customer buying behavior, competitive trends, and segment profitability
- You have advanced proficiency in MS Excel and use it effectively to support data-driven decision-making
- You collaborate cross-functionally to support new product development and contribute to business growth
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy working three (3) days in-office and two (2) days remote
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
