Job Overview As a Pricebook Analyst, your daily tasks commonly include updating and maintaining product pricing data, conducting pricing audits, and analyzing trends to ensure accuracy and profitability. You'll work closely with marketing and accounting departments to resolve discrepancies, support promotions, and ensure that price changes are accurately reflected across various platforms. Additionally, you'll be expected to generate regular reports to support decision-making and may assist in systems optimization or process improvements. This role is crucial for maintaining up-to-date and reliable pricing information, directly impacting on customer satisfaction and company revenue
Maintaining and auditing the enterprise item file, ensuring product details are complete and accurate.
Executing timely updates for new items, retail and cost changes, and discontinued items.
Supporting the setup and validation of promotional pricing, including vendor-funded discounts.
Troubleshooting discrepancies, identifying the root causes of pricing errors, and coordinating with Accounting for system-wide issues.
Conducting routine audits to identify inconsistencies and providing analytical support for continuous process improvement.
Skills & Qualifications we are looking for:
- 3+ years professional experience in a retail, merchandising, or related field required.
- Prior PDI Back-office experience is required.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues accurately.
- Attention to Detail: Essential for ensuring the accuracy of pricing information.
- Organizational Skills: For maintaining price book records and managing multiple tasks.
- . Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with retail POS systems, ERP platforms, and spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel is often required.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with various teams, including sales, IT, Accounting, and Store Operations
· Enters, updates, and verifies the accuracy of information within the price book system, ensuring data completeness and integrity.
· Manages and maintains pricing databases, updates product prices, and ensures the accuracy of item details in the PDI Pricebook system
· Files and maintains price book records, communicates changes, and serves as a point of contact with vendors, store operations, and other internal teams.
· Identifies and corrects errors within daily price book tasks such as DRIE, DRSA, DREA.
· Serves as escalation point for troubleshooting issues with Merchandising, Operations, Accounting, and Information Systems departments as necessary
