PRESS OPERATOR
Position Summary: In this position, responsibilities will include assigning materials, the safe set-up and operation of equipment, verifying quality inspections and maintaining a clean and safety-oriented work environment. Additionally, all Alloy Holdings employees must support and live the company values: Do the right thing, Respect one another, Be positive, and Please our customer in all aspects of the job.
Essential Job Duties:
•The safe set-up and operation of single and progressive die sets in L&J, Minster, Bruderer and Raster stamping presses.
•Set up tools, feeders, payoffs, and coil straighteners.
•Safe handling, use, and installation of related tooling and materials.
•Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections.
•Safe use of tooling and related equipment.
•Assure proper material, tooling and equipment are ready for processing / safe operation.
•Follow proper process instructions to ensure products meet customer specifications.
•Safe operation of related handling equipment.
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
•Adhere to EPA and OSHA guidelines.
•Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.
Additional Responsibilities:
•As assigned, including cross training.
Qualifications/Requirements:
•1-3 years of Press Operator experience preferred.
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
•Good communication skills, multi-tasking skills, and careful attention to detail
•Proficiency in print reading.
•Proficiency in the use of calipers, micrometer, comparator, gauge pins.
•Ability to read, write English.
•Ability to follow oral and written instruction.
•Ability to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements/Safety:
•Ability to lift 40 pounds.
•Ability to perform physical movement to accomplish related tasks. I.e bending, pushing, working overhead, etc.
