Performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to operating all functions of the press safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Operate the extrusion press to reach optimal production and goals.
- Address issues with the dies to make the press more efficient and effective.
- Identify issues causing scrap to increase press efficiencies.
- Check the quality of extrude parts for rework, or damage.
- Properly load presses to reduce the risk of damage.
- Perform light maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Some light to heavy and repetitive lifting may be necessary.
- Knowledge of production operations and experience in a manufacturing environment beneficial.
- Previous work experience on an extrusion press is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read and operate a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer helpful.
- Entry level computer experience useful.
