Press Brake Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience operating press brake machines. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate fabrication of metal components according to specifications and blueprints. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with other team members to maintain high-quality standards and efficient production processes.

Duties

- Operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to specifications.

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the correct machining processes.

- Perform quality inspections on finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

- Utilize hand tools and fabrication equipment to assist in the assembly of parts.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.

- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize production efficiency.

- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and report any malfunctions or repairs needed.

- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.

Requirements

- Proven experience operating press brake machines is required (2 years min).

- Familiarity with CNC programming.

- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.

- Experience with plasma cutting, stamping press operations, welding, and general machining practices.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use basic math for measurements and calculations.

- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding fabrication processes.

- Ability to use precision measuring instruments effectively for quality inspection tasks.

- Experience with tooling, sheet metal work, assembly processes, and crane operation is advantageous.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
