Intern for Advanced Technology Organization (ATO) focused on innovation and expert services for GE Vernova Grid Software product suite. The team pilots and enhances current offerings, develops new commercially viable features or solutions to solve industry and customer problems using the GridOS platform. The team utilizes electrical engineering physics and AI/ML techniques.
- Currently enrolled in PhD/Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with thesis work in Electrical Engineering (Focus on Power System Operation)
- Strong Work/Academic background experience in electrical power systems with focus on Power System Operation (Transmission & Distribution)
- Power System Operation & Control – Courses and Projects
- Projects and Papers related to Synchrophasors, PMUs, WAMS
- Experience with Simulation models for Power Systems
- Minimum cumulative or in-major 3.0/4.0 GPA.
- Must commit to working full time (40 hrs/wk) during the internship in summer.
- Must be willing to work in an office located in Bothell.
- Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr - $36.00/hr based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed.
- Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
- Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.

- GE Vernova Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
