As a Post Doc - Controls / AI, you will enable the Energy Transition through the development of models, advanced controls, optimization, and AI. You will contribute to R&D programs aligned with GE Vernova’s energy businesses such as Renewable Energy, Gas Power, Grid Solutions, and Power Conversion as well as with U.S. Government Agencies.

This is a 12-month Post-Doctoral Researcher position.
- Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Minimum GPA 3.5 / 4.0 scale
- Proficiency in MATLAB, C, and Python
- AI / Reinforcement Learning Experience
- Stochastic Optimization Experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older

- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques and the application of those in a controls context
- Strong track-record of first-author publications in reputable academic journals and conferences
- Experience in several of the following topics: Machine Learning and Deep Learning; Signal, Image and Video Processing; Edge, Distributed and Collaborative Computing; Communications and Networking; Real-Time Systems;
- Hands-on experience with software development, simulations, parallel/GPU computation, and cloud computing services.
- Interest in writing grant proposals
The salary range for this position is $85,600 - $140,000 USD, annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This position will remain posted until at least September 25th, 2025.
