Mako Indsutries is seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to oversee and manage all field plumbing operations on commercial construction projects. The Plumbing Superintendent will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Supervise the installation of plumbing systems on commercial construction projects, including water supply, drainage, gas, and other systems.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints to plan and execute plumbing activities.
- Manage plumbing crews, subcontractors, and coordinate with other trades on-site.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of plumbing milestones.
- Inspect installations to ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and project specifications.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Order materials and coordinate deliveries to avoid project delays.
- Maintain daily reports, job logs, and documentation for inspections and testing.
- Conduct regular site walkthroughs to monitor work progress and quality.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.- Minimum 5–10 years of plumbing experience, with at least 5+ years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Extensive experience in commercial construction projects (e.g., schools, hospitals, office buildings, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, local codes, and inspection requirements.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Journeyman or Master Plumber license (preferred or required depending on state/local regulations).
- Proficient with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam) is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work on active construction sites.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
