We are currently seeking a seasoned and driven Plumbing Superintendent to join our team in Charleston, SC.
Position Overview
The Plumbing Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing all field activities related to commercial plumbing projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and proven success in coordinating job sites, mentoring crews, and delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
•Supervise plumbing crews and oversee daily operations for assigned commercial projects
•Develop and maintain work schedules, ensuring project milestones are met
•Interpret and implement project blueprints, specifications, and local codes
•Conduct routine job site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
•Train, mentor, and evaluate team performance to foster professional growth
•Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to resolve challenges and streamline workflows
•Maintain accurate project documentation and daily reports
•Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, company standards, and building code compliance
Qualifications
•Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the plumbing trade, preferably in commercial construction
•Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documents
•Excellent team leadership, communication, and organizational skills
•In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation best practices
•Familiarity with job site safety procedures and OSHA standards
•Ability to solve problems independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
