Job Description:

A Plumbing Service Technician will apply their technical skills and knowledge in performing diagnostic, service, and installation of plumbing in residential and light commercial environments and ensure that work is performed in accordance with relevant codes. Responsibilities include assembling, installing or repairing pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems in accordance with plumbing code specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, pipes, valves, and fittings in residential buildings. Install and connect water supply systems, including pipes, faucets, showers, and water heaters. Detect and repair leaks, clogs, and damaged plumbing components. Install and service water filtration and softening systems.

•

Ensure the proper functioning of drainage and sewage systems, including sewer lines, drains, and septic tanks. Clear clogs and blockages in drains and sewer lines using plumbing tools and equipment. Perform inspections and maintenance on septic systems to prevent issues and ensure compliance with local regulations.

•

Install, repair, and maintain water heating systems, including traditional water heaters, tankless water heaters, and solar water heaters. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to water temperature and pressure.

•

Install and replace plumbing fixtures such as toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, and bathtubs. Ensure proper connections and sealing to prevent leaks and water damage.

•

Diagnose and resolve plumbing problems, including identifying the source of leaks, low water pressure, and unusual noises. Provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades based on the assessment.

•

Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards. Obtain necessary permits for plumbing work when required.

•

Interact with residential and commercial customers to understand their plumbing needs and provide estimates for services. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with clients and addressing their concerns.

•

Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and hours worked. Provide clear invoices and receipts to clients for services rendered.

Qualifications:

•

High school diploma or equivalent.

•

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

•

Must have a minimum of four years of verifiable plumbing experience in a residential service and maintenance operation.

•

Natural and LP Gas experience a plus.

•

Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.

•

Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems, codes, and standards.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

•

Physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions, including tight spaces and adverse weather.

•

Lift minimum of 50lb

•

Strong communication and customer service skills.
