Plumbing Service Technician – Civil Division
Place Services, Inc., has an immediate need for a Plumbing Service Technician in our Civil Division to be based out of our Marietta, GA office.
The Plumbing technician will be skilled in repairs, underground, rough in, and trim out of fixtures. You will guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate repairs to fulfill their requirements. You will be responsible for plumbing systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in Plumbing and Gas systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer satisfaction, safety and comfort as a top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.

What You’ll Do:
•Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas systems in commercial buildings including retail, healthcare, restaurant, industrial, and office environments.
•Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
•Assemble, install, and pressure test piping systems (water, waste, vent, and gas).
•Troubleshoot issues and conduct diagnostic tests on malfunctioning systems.
•Install and service water heaters, backflow preventers, grease traps, sump pumps, and other commercial-grade plumbing equipment.
•Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes and company safety standards.
•Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trade professionals.
•Maintain accurate records of hours worked, materials used, and work performed.
•Provide excellent customer service and represent PSI professionally at all times.
•Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
•Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
•Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.

What You Bring:
•High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
•3+ year experience as a Plumber/Plumbing technician
•Journeyman or Master Plumbing license is preferred
•Backflow certification is preferred
•Understanding of advanced principles of plumbing and civil
•Working knowledge of plumbing codes and safety requirements
•Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
•Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
•Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice
•Ability to work in confined spaces and heights
